025 The minutes of the Planning Committee Meeting held on 17.3.11, copies having been

previously circulated, were confirmed as a correct record by those present at that meeting

and signed by the Chairman.

5. To consider the following Planning Applications:-

a. Planning Application No. 11/P/0567/F 1 Lotts Avenue, Backwell -

Erection of two storey side and single storey rear extensions and

detached garage - Mr & Mrs A Gould

026 Resolved: Unanimously Backwell Parish Council has no objection in

principle, but have concerns over the access to the property as it is

served by a single lane road. The construction vehicles will have no

room to unload or turn round, so they will have to access the whole

frontage and we envisage removal of the whole front hedge. Upon

completion we would like to see a lay-by or set-back so vehicles can

pass and part of the hedge reinstated along the frontage.

b. Planning Application No. 11/P/0578/F 4 Court Close, Backwell -

Erection of a single storey side extension following demolition of

detached double garage (resubmission of 10/P/2237/F) - Mrs K

Atherton

027 Resolved: Unanimously no objection, but would comment that some of the neighbours still have concerns about parking especially as the plan is misleading as to the amount of car parking space outside the proposed garage. We would also request that any new build is in keeping with the rest of the property.

c. Planning Application No. 11/P/0608/F 33 West Town Road, Backwell -

Erection of a two storey rear extension and detached garage - Mr & Mrs

Williams

028 Resolved: Unanimously no objection.

029 There being no further business the Chairman thanked everybody for attending and closed the meeting at 1926 hours.
