MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY 22ND

SEPTEMBER 2011 IN BACKWELL PARISH HALL, BACKWELL, AT 1900 HOURS

 

Present: Cllrs S Ould (Chairman), M Bowerman, M Gibbons-Price, R Mason,

K Merryweather, D Sparks and the Clerk Mrs Jane Stone

 

Members of the Public: District Cllr G Coombs and 2 members of public

 

In the absence of the Chairman, Cllr S Ould was proposed and seconded as Chairman for the meeting.

062 Resolved: Unanimously Cllr S Ould to Chair the meeting.

065 Cllr S Ould – Planning Application no. 11/P/1580/F Field north of Grove Farm -

friend of farm owner's son.

 

3. Public Participation

Standing Orders were suspended

066 District Cllr G Coombs introduced himself to Councillors, and said he had been appointed a member of NSC's Strategic Planning and Economic Development Policy and Scrutiny Panel. His comments regarding the National Planning Policy Framework consultation were noted by members.

Standing Orders were reinstated

 

4. Minutes

067 The minutes of the Planning Committee Meeting held on 18.8.11, copies having been

previously circulated, were confirmed as a correct record by those present at that meeting

and signed by the Chairman.

5. To receive and consider email from NSC dated 25.8.11 regarding North Somerset Council Local Development Framework. Consultation on a draft Weston Villages Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).

068 Noted, the Council does not wish to comment on this occasion.

 

6. To consider the following Planning Applications:-

a. Planning application no. 11/P/1580/F Field north of Grove Farm, Lane off

Chelvey Road, Chelvey, Backwell – Erection of wind turbine on 28m high

pole with concrete base and perimeter fence – E Vowles & Sons

069 Resolved: Unanimously no objection

 

b. Planning application no. 11/P/1616/F 8 Oakleigh Close, Backwell -

Erection of a rear conservatory – Mr & Mrs M Short

070 Resolved: Unanimously no objection

 

071 There being no further business the Chairman thanked everybody for attending and closed the meeting at 1914 hours.
