On Saturday 21 September 2019 the village show will be held in Backwell Parish Hall.

2.15 pm – 4.00pm Children’s activities in the W.I. Hall
3.00 pm – 4.00pm Collection of cash prizes (W.I. Hall stage)
4:00 pm Presentation of awards (W.I. Hall)
4:15 pm Raffle (W.I. Hall)
4.15 pm – 4.30 pm Exhibitors remove entries
4:30 pm Sale of donated entries (W.I. Hall)

Classes  for all ages and across a wide range of skills from horticulture to photography,  lego-building to cross-stitch. Free to enter but we MUST have the entry form or email entry notification by end of day this coming Wednesday.

The Show day procedure is outlined on page 3 of the Schedule, which includes the important information such as:

When you’ve decided what to enter, read the show regulations overleaf, complete the entry form  and drop it off at Backwell Post Office or submit by email to BackwellVillageShow@gmail.comEntries must be submitted by Wednesday 18th September and cannot be accepted on the show-day.

On show-day please bring your entries to the main door of the Backwell Parish Hall between 8:30 am and 10:00 am, where you will be given a ticket for each entry that you have registered with us, showing your own unique exhibitor number.  You will then place your entry on the correct table for that class (our stewards will help you).  The hall closes to exhibitors at 10:30am for judging.

The show will be open for viewing from 2pm and cash prizes can be collected after 3pm from the W.I. Hall stage (1stprize @ 60p, 2nd prize @ 30p, 3rd prize @ 20p).  There are special prizes for specific classes which will be presented in the W.I. Hall at 4pm after which you may remove your exhibits and take them home.

The show supports many local groups with proceeds from refreshments and stalls in the W.I. Hall.  Do come along and support your village!
