4. Minutes
019 The minutes of the Planning Committee Meeting held on 16.2.17 were confirmed as a correct record by those present at that meeting
5. Update on Farleigh Fields and to approve Proofs of Evidence from Polly Reynolds of Temple Bright, Mr Chris Perry, Mr Michael Rose and all subsequent Witness Statements and associated documentation in connection with Planning Appeal APP/D0121/W/3153935
020 Resolved: Unanimously to approve
6. To consider North Somerset Site Allocations Plan examination being held week commencing 16th May 2017

7. To consider the following planning applications:
a. Planning application no. 17/P/0416/F 8 Oakleigh Close, Backwell –
Two storey side and rear extension – Mr M Short
022 Resolved: Unanimously no objection
b. Planning application no. 17/P/0430/F 86 West Town Road, Backwell –
Erection of 5 new dwellings. Partial demolition and conversion of
existing buildings to provide 2 new dwellings and a B1 office space.
Altered access to highway – Mr Ken Edis
023 Resolved: By a majority vote Backwell Parish Council are in favour
of the proposed development. However they are of the opinion the mix of
properties does not comply with their Neighbourhood Plan, and object
to the size of the proposed properties and should the application be
approved by NSC BPC would like to be consulted on the size and mix
of the properties to be developed. Concerns have also been raised regarding
water drainage run off. 1 abstention
c. Planning application no. 17/P/0437/F 40 Westfield Road, Backwell –
Single storey side extension to form ground floor bedroom for disabled
person – Alliance Homes
024 Resolved: Unanimously no objection as Permitted Development
d. Planning application no. 17/P/0510/F Folleigh, Church Town, Backwell –
Roof extension and staircase – Mr Didau & Mrs Sisson
025 Resolved: Unanimously no objection as Permitted Development
