025 The minutes of the Planning Committee Meeting held on 18.02.16 were confirmed as a correct record by those present at that meeting
5. To receive and consider planning appeal notification letter dated 26.2.16
re appeal reference: APP/DO121/D/16/3141872 for proposed vehicle
access at 5 Chapel Hill, Backwell
026 Resolved: Unanimously to withdraw comment of ‘unanimously no objection’
submitted on the 4th September 2015
6. To consider the following Planning Applications:
a. Planning application no. 16/P/0494/F 17 Embercourt Drive, Backwell –
Erection of a first floor side extension and a single storey rear
extension and the erection of a detached single garage – Ms Fi Nathwani
027 Resolved: Unanimously no objection. Backwell Parish Council would
however like to draw to the Planning Officer’s attention their concerns re
availability of parking, as the property is situated on a corner
b. Planning application no. 16/P/0501/F 35 Uncombe Close, Backwell –
Single storey rear extension to create new utility room. Addition of
side and roof windows. Loft conversion. Enclosure of existing
porch and addition of roof windows in garage – Mr Robert Stewart

c. Planning application no. 16/P/0502/F 2 The Crescent, Backwell –
Two storey side extension and single storey rear extension to provide
garage, extended kitchen and bedroom with en-suite – Mr S Bellingham

d. Planning application no. 16/P/0512/F 7 Lunty Mead, Backwell –
Erection of front porch/garage extension and partial garage conversion –
Mr David Sterling
030 Resolved: Unanimously Backwell Parish Council objects. The property
shares a drive with 3 other properties, and to build this construction would
encroach upon their access to their own properties
e. Planning application no. 16/P/0566/HHPA 26 Embercourt Drive,
Backwell – Prior approval request for the erection of a single storey
rear extension with a pitched roof that would 1) extend beyond the
rear wall of the original house by 6 metres; 2) have a maximum height of
3.2 metres and 3) have eaves that are 2.9 metres high – Mr T Wooldridge
