Extension of the roof to alter the ridge line – Mr & Mrs Simmonite
083 Resolved: Unanimously no objection
084 Cllr G Simmonite returned to the meeting and was advised of the
resolution passed
d. Planning application no. 15/P/1817/F 2 Waverley Road, Backwell –
Erection of a two storey dwelling with associated car parking and
landscaping – Mr A Mikkelson
085 Resolved: Unanimously Backwell Parish Council objects to the
application for a 3 bedroomed property for the following reasons:
1. The area available to build this property on the corner is not
large enough, as NSC own part of it
2. There is insufficient area to park two cars in front of the property,
and they would block the sight line from cars exiting Waverley Road
3. It is totally out of character with the whole estate and its open plan policy
4. It would set a precedent over several other properties on the estate
that are not allowed to build because of the sight line. The Council is also of the opinion should consent be granted, the owner of the house would wish to put a fence around it for security, and that would be disastrous
086 There being no further business the Chairman thanked everybody for attending and closed the meeting at 1915 hours
