Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

21 April 1926 – 8 September 2022   Sarah Ould, Chairman, expresses the deep sadness of Backwell Parish Council and the residents of Backwell at the news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 8 September 2022 and our sincere gratitude for her 70 years of service and leadership as sovereign. A Backwell book of condolence will be available for people to sign at the Parish Hall from the morning of 9 September. More information about national events / funeral arrangements and a national e-book of condolence is available on the Royal website (www.royal.uk). Flags in Backwell are to be flown at half-mast in Backwell for the days of mourning, except for the proclamation.
